We hadden oogcontact in de trein vanaf station Hengelo naar station Amersfoort Centraal. Op station Amsterdam Centraal verloren we elkaar uit het oog.

The ICE to Amsterdam was late for at least half an hour. It would come and leave at around 13.47. I could take another train, to Zutphen. It arrived before yours and, unfortunately, I did take that one. I regret that.
You are visiting your alzo Deutsche brother who studies in Amsterdam. I would have liked to travel with you. Would you have liked that, too?
I enjoyed our short conversation and would like to talk to you again. I guess you understand, because your English accent is quite good. I hope you will find your way in The Netherlands, back to me.
